Disco Era House

 

This project began with the stabilizing of a backyard deck and pool that were in danger of collapsing into the adjacent bayou.   Built in the 1970's, this large, unremarkable house was ripe for updating, or, demolishing - it could have gone either way.   The owners couldn't part with it, so Chelsea worked with them and Interior Designer Marlys Tokerud to transform this ugly duckling into a thoroughly contemporary home, complete with a new third floor.   The project earned awards from the American Society of Interior Designers and Sub-Zero's kitchen design competition.
